Holywell Bay

This stunning project involved the upward extension of a charming bungalow, carefully designed to enhance the home’s views over the breathtaking Holywell Bay. In collaboration with APS Architects, the design focuses on seamlessly blending contemporary features with the existing structure, creating a modern yet harmonious home. One of the standout features of the extension is the innovative "Room in Roof Truss"—a clever design element that maximizes space while maintaining the home’s overall aesthetic.

The exterior of the new extension boasts beautiful cedar cladding, offering a natural and elegant finish, complemented by James Hardy panels strategically placed to add texture and visual interest. Additionally, a sophisticated "Brise Soleil" has been incorporated to control sunlight and enhance the building's energy efficiency. The build was technically complex, requiring the removal of the existing roof without disturbing the recently refurbished bungalow beneath. This presented a significant challenge, but the end result is a flawless integration of modern living space with minimal disruption to the original home, showcasing both architectural ingenuity and meticulous craftsmanship
